Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. Her father had keen interest from a young age in the theater. While he was a pupil at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of many performances. In 1953, he joined the Air Force. While stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a production that he performed in with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, they got married and their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they quit the Air Force and Walter started his education at Tulane University. In 1960 the family moved into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter as well as Betty Lou financed their own production of a children's Sunday matinee show called Bum Bum and His Buddies. They also established a six-year Actors and Writers Workshop later in the year. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa was born in the year 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
