Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is the fourth Roberts generation to reside in Atlanta, beginning with her farmer great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts. She inherited her father's interest in the theatre at a young stage. When he was in school in Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus and in Atlanta. While stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he received his induction into the airforce in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was also in the production. The two married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. In 1957, the couple quit the military and Walter enrolled in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. The family relocated in 1960 from Louisiana to Decatur Georgia where Walter began working with Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. They also founded an organization that lasted for six years called the Actors and Writers Workshop later in the year. They had two more children: Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also known by the name Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also also known as Julie).
