Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 in 1967. She belongs to the Robertses' fourth generation that reside in the Atlanta area beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. She inherited her father's interest in theater from a young age. While he was a student in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in numerous performances. When he was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was inducted into the Air Force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. Both married in 2005 and they had their first baby, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans In 1957, the city of Louisiana where the couple had left the US Air Force. Walter was a part of the Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio when the family relocated from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in the year 1960. In 1964 Walter along with Betty Lou began production on a local children's Saturday morning television show called Bum Bum and His Buddies which they financed on their own. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in the year 1964, and it ran for about six years. In the meantime, they had two more children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
